These Fans Want To See The Latest 3DS Digimon Game Localised

It seems the people want a new Digimon. On Change.org, an Italian fan of the monster-collecting-and-fighting game series started a petition, asking Namco-Bandai to localise the latest entry, Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode, overseas.

Calling itself Operation Decode, the petition has already amassed almost 4500 signatures at the time of writing. There’s a Facebook page, and the campaign also has a presence on Twitter, under the hashtag #OperationDecode.

The game in question is actually a remake of a 2012 PSP game, Digimon World Re:Digitize, which was never localised in the West due to the console’s poor sales. Decode, an enhanced remake for the 3DS, has “new monsters, new evolutions, new characters, overhauled gameplay features and a brand new scenario with an exclusive female main character,” which makes it an ideal candidate for localisation, argues Francesco Haseo-san, the petition’s creator.

The campaign hopes to attract enough people for 5000 and later on 10,000 signatures in total. If you want to be one of those people, you can check out the petition’s page over here.
