This Shadow Of The Erdtree Sword Is A Stylish Addition To Sorcery Builds

The Spirit Sword is a Curved Sword you can only obtain in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. This aesthetically striking weapon isn’t a best-in-class choice, especially considering its poor range, but it’s nevertheless a fun option for sorcery-based builds looking for a bit of visual flair.

Here’s what you need to know about the Spirit Sword and where to find it.

Spirit Sword stats and features

The Spirit Sword has a weight of 2.5 and requires the following stats to wield:

  • STR: 8
  • DEX: 16
  • INT: 16

The weapon comes equipped with Ash of War: Rancor Slash. This Ash of War causes your character to perform a spinning attack to damage enemies in front of you while simultaneously releasing vengeful spirits that can chase down foes. This attack can be followed up with another slash that will release additional vengeful spirits.

The Spirit Sword can be upgraded to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones.

Spirit Sword item description

The Spirit Sword’s item description reads:

“Sharp blade sculpted into a twisted shape. A sword that has seen many years of use in the gravesite.

Said to serve as a medium for communion with spirits.”

Where to find the Spirit Sword

You can find the Spirit Sword in the Cerulean Coast region. To begin your search, fast travel to the Cerulean Coast West Site of Grace.

From the Site of Grace, head slightly southeast around the giant stone ship and then veer left into the ravine ahead. Follow this path straight while hugging the right wall.

You’ll eventually pass some giant tombstones to enter an area with small Demi-Humans and some of the DLC’s strange spectral worm creatures. In the back of this area will be a corpse on which you can find the Spirit Sword.
